Where to begin?! There are countless reasons I love Lakewood Community Care Center. LCCC is a place where I know my children are safe, an appropriate age based curriculum is present, and where there are fun – filled days planned. The teachers and director go above and beyond to accommodate the families. Being a working mother of two and a full time student, I needed a place where I felt my children would be treated like family, learn, and stay safe in a clean environment. I have been a part of the LCCC family for 3 years, and would not want it any other way! Lakewood Community Care Center has exceeded everything I wanted in child care.

I’ve had the greatest experience with LCCC. They took care of my kids for a few years and through that time my kids have blossomed into healthy, smart, confident children. Of the few daycares that I’ve tested out in Lakewood, LCCC by far was the one where my children felt most comfortable and safe.

We love LCCC! The center has taken great care of my child over the past year. They encourage learning and social play at a young age and take great care in helping with transitions. His teachers have played a very active role in my son’s development. It is amazing to watch him show us the new things he has learned, even at the age of 1 1/2. I also appreciate the constant feedback and dialogue that his providers participate in with us as parents. Most importantly, the teachers and kids have lots of fun and my son always comes home happy at the end of the day. He loves it there so much, he yells “let’s go!” when I ask if he is ready for school in the morning and he runs to the car!

When I was thinking about putting my daughter in daycare when she was 10 months old, I though that it would be the hardest thing that I would ever have to do. From the very first day that I walked in to Lakewood Community Care I knew that my baby would be safe and I would not have to worry. I have seen my daughter grow and become to most sweet, king, caring little girl and I would like to think that this facility had something to do with it. She loves getting up every morning and going to “school” to be with her friends. She has learned so much in the short time that she has been there. The though does not ever cross my mind if she is not safe or if she is not in an environment that I do not feel that she will thrive in. She comes in every morning with a smile on her face knowing that she is going to have a great day. All of her teachers are wonderful people and I know if there is a problem with something that has happened that I can count on them to address the situation. When I had my second child the thought did not cross my mind at all about where I was going to put him for child care. From the minute that I found out I was pregnant I had him already signed up and ready to go the moment that he was old enough. I love the fact that each teacher cares so much about these children. The fact that my daughter does not want to go home when I go and pick her up at the end of the day says a lot. It lets me know as a mother I made the right decision. What I like most about the director and the assistant director is that if I am unsure about something or if there is a problem, they listen and handle right away without hesitation. I tell everyone that I know that is looking for child care that Lakewood Community Care is the best place they can take their child. I LOVE THEM!!!

We are very pleased and proud to have sent both of our children to Lccc. The staff was always very caring and loving and supportive of the growth and learning of the kids. When kindergarten rolled around we were nervous if our children were going to be prepared for the “real world”. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our children were above and beyond the expectations of Lakewood’s kindergarten! They had no problem at all transitioning because they were so well educated and disciplined at Lccc.

Our 17-month-old son, Charles, loves LCCC and so do we. Charlie has been going to “school” here since he was 6 months old and has been extremely happy about it. The teachers in the infant room are all kind, professional, and provide useful insight to us about our son. They text us pictures almost daily which we very much enjoy, and it is apparent that the teachers truly love and take care of Charlie. LCCC plans regular events and informative meetings to create the strong sense of community we have grown to appreciate. Our entire family has had a very positive experience with LCCC and we don’t have anything negative to say.

I love LCCC! The center has a welcoming and loving “feel” to it when you walk in. The caregivers and teachers genuinely care about the children. The center has a homelike aura. It is child-centered and fosters cognitive, emotional, physical and social development.

All 3 of my children were at LCCC from 6 months on, and my youngest in the pre-k. Being a working mom is really hard, and I think the most important part is having child care you trust and depend on. Throughout our years at LCCC (almost 12 now), we have developed not only rapport, but friendships as well.

When my three kids started at Lakewood Community Care Center three years ago, I was very nervous. I went from being a stay at home mom and my kids were always with me, to being a single parent starting over on my own. I was scared that my kids wouldn’t be looked after as well as I looked after them. My youngest just turned one a couple of months before starting the center, she was still just a baby in my eyes, my son was 4 and overly rambunctious, and my oldest was excited. Needless to say, I feel a sense of confidence with how the center is run, because we have been with the center for well over 3 years and I wouldn’t consider taking my kids anywhere else.
